Shri. T Aochuba, IFS, Director, Intanki National Park is an officer belonging to the Indian Forest Service of 2009 batch. After joining the cadre, he has served in different capacity as Divisional Forest Officer of Mon, Mokokchung and Zunheboto. He is presently serving as the Director of the Intanki National Park w.e.f. 06-12-2019.

ABOUT THE DIVISION
A description about the division, including the name of Range and Beats. The Intanki forest was declared as a National Park inl993 with an area of 202.00
sq.km according the highest degree of protection to forest & wildlife. It is located in Peren district and is known for its rich and diverse floral and faunal life. The park is home to several endangered species including Hoolock Gibbon, Wild buffalo, Clouded leopard, Asain Elephant etc. the vegetation is primarily of tropical and sub- tropical with dense forests and variety of plant species. This area is a highly critical habitat for wildlife and forms a large contagious patch of forests with Dhansiri Reserved Forests of Karbi Anglong (Assam). The Park is head by the the Field Director, and management of the Park is strictly as
per the approved Management Plan.There are 80 Armed Protection Force deployed at Intanki National Park to safeguard the boundary and carry out regular patrolling activities in the Park. Although the park is less commercialized compared to other National Parks, it holds immense potential as an eco-tourism destination. The remote and pristine environment is ideal for nature lovers and bird watchers. Lately, the Department is making all efforts to promote eco-tourism in the National Park with funding from Oil India Limited to improve the socio-economic condition of the people.
