ABOUT THE DIVISION

  Longleng Forest Division was established on 1st August 2017, after bifurcation from Tuensang Forest Division. Longleng Forest Division looks after all the activities of the Forest Department under Longleng District. Currently, the Division is headed by Shri. Rama Shankar Prasad, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Longleng. He is Assisted by Shri. Ailong Phom, SFS, Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) Longleng. Longleng Division has two (2) Ranges:
  1. Longleng Forest Range, headed by Chepeu Koza, SFS, Range Officer, Longleng Range.
  2. Sitap Range, headed by Bendangmongba, Dy. Range Officer Sitap Range.
The Division, apart from the normal departmental work, is currently undertaking one major project, namely, Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) since 2018 The Division has 24 regular officer/staffs, 8 fixed wages & 7 DMU JICA staffs. List Of Offices/ Ranges under the Division:
